Measuring guide

We have listed below a definition of the most commonly used product measurement terms. To help you choose the best size, we recommend that you compare each product’s measurements with your own whenever possible.

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Waist

The slimmest part of your natural waistline – above your navel and below your ribcage.

Drop waist

Measure around your body one and a half inches below your natural waist.

Hip

Measure around the fullest point of your hips. This will be approximately nine inches below your natural waistline.

Inside leg

The distance from the top of your inside leg (at the crotch) to your ankle.

Rise

This is the distance from the top of the waistband to the crotch.

Length

Lengths are taken from the highest point of the back of a garment, from the shoulder or the neckline, to the hem.

Shopping for jeans?

Remember to think about where you would like your jeans to sit on your waist. For example, if you want them to hug your hips, choose low-rise, for a higher cut, pick high-rise and if you’d like a fit that’s somewhere in-between, go for mid-rise.
