Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy & Management

  • » Develop and execute the best CRM online and retail marketing strategy to increase sales and acquire new customers, working closely with the direct marketing, store marketing and buying teams
  • » Implement and monitor new customer capture initiatives
  • » Use data capture analysis to build the CRM and eCRM acquisition and retention strategy for the UK and international business
  • » Focus on building traffic to the sites and work towards improving ROI through test and target approaches through the email, catalogue, retail stores, mobile and web channels.
  • » Define, execute and deliver against the EU Email Marketing Strategy, ensuring appropriate communications to the email base, working closely with ESP to deliver against all testing campaigns and ensure email database is healthy
  • » Work closely with US team to use any key findings relevant to the European market
  • » Ensure all Ecommerce & multi-channel marketing opportunities are exploited from a customer communications perspective
  • » Manage set budgets and forecast future spend based on experience and knowledge of the business to meet strategic objectives
  • » Plan circulation tests for email and direct mail

Data Management & Reporting

  • » Manage the quality and consistency of data capture across all touch points including, website, stores, competitions, customer services and in-store events
  • » Manage external suppliers of data management to ensure data quality
  • » Use multi-channel customer data to provide insight into customer behavior to acquire new customers, and identify and retain loyal customers
  • » Provide monthly and weekly campaign reports to provide insight into similarities and differences of customer behavior and database growth across territories
  • » Create a monthly CRM KPI pack using data from the CRM database on growth of customer base
  • » Manage the timely delivery of monthly campaign output files working closely with the US CRM IT team
  • » Continually review the Online Marketing database service, processes and systems to ensure they meet excellent quality standards

Email

  • » Determine segmentation and testing strategies for monthly mailers and build segments for email campaigns
  • » Create email briefs for transactional and triggered emails to deliver clear and defined customer journeys to maximise response and profitability as well as keeping brand focus
  • » Ongoing management of the email database to identify key customer lifecycles (new, active, reactivated, lapsed etc.)
  • » Work closely with US CRM IT teams to ensure all email preference changes are updated correctly and being fed into the CRM database
  • » Implement and manage the Welcome email program

Catalogue

  • » Manage 3rd party data vendors to ensure catalogue campaigns are delivered on time
  • » Recommend tests for segment sizes, format and pagination for all direct mail and provide analysis of results
  • » Report on monthly post campaign results communicating key learnings and recommendations for action to wider team members

Loyalty program

  • » Build on the existing Anthro program loyalty scheme working closely with the U.S. to grow the base and improve the offer to customers online and in store
  • » Create and deliver monthly Anthro loyalty reports to measure performance of new sign ups
  • » Manage ANTHRO program signups and suppressions through third party suppliers
  • » Communicate initiatives to senior management and Retail teams

Other

  • » Develop Focus Group plans and online surveys to increase customer insight and enhance the customer database and report on results
  • » Work closely with Customer Services to ensure customer complaints are being actioned quickly and that we are closing the loop by updating customer records
  • » Be able to present key insight into customer behaviour and recommend opportunities to all our supporting functions in marketing, retail and planning
  • » Continually strive to identify commercial routes for driving sales growth

Essential Skills and Requirements

  • » The ideal CRM/eCRM Manager for this position will be an autonomous individual with a proven background in developing CRM marketing strategies
  • » Strong numerical skills, communication & presentation skills

URBN: Assistant Management Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the URBN Shared Services team in Europe. Strong numeric, organisation and interpersonal skills will be essential to the role. The Assistant Management Accountant will play an essential role within our growth as a shared service provider to both of our brands; Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. This role will give the right person the chance to work in an experienced team and you will in turn be given the encouragement to learn and develop your skill base.

Currently Urban Outfitters has 40 stores across the UK, Republic of Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Belgium and will be expanding across Europe in the next 12-24 months. Further, our Anthropologie brand has 4 stores, 1 concession in Selfridges, London and plans to open a further 2 stores in the UK over the next 12 months.

Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie are fully responsible for their own buying and merchandising. Every other function sits within Shared Services as a part of the wider URBN European division. Within this division sits Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Logistics, Property, Construction, Facilities Management, Real Estate, HR & Talent Acquisition.

Ideally coming from a retail background, you will likely be an aspiring CIMA or ACCA accountant and thrive working in a fast-paced dynamic retail environment. You will bring experience of preparing, and posting, monthly accruals and prepayments journals, an understanding of profit and loss account analysis and experience of preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

Objective:
